So, I thought it’d be neat and cool as well as so helpful to share the crystals I use during meditation and why I’ve picked those crystals specifically.
I love yoga, meditation and crystals…among other things, but these are by far some of my most favorite things in life and what I spend A LOT of time doing.
I know a lot of my friends and family are getting into meditation now, and a lot of you have been into it already, so let’s chat about it. Yay!
This is what I used in meditation, literally today (lol, the day I wrote this post anyway), and today was a healing meditation.
Smoky Quartz and Black Tourmaline
Placed below my feet for grounding through the root chakra, I used smoky quartz and black tourmaline. These are my go-to stones for both grounding and protection.
I first began working with black tourmaline many years ago when a reiki friend gifted it to me because of the amount of fear she saw I was dealing with. I carried a small piece around with me in my pockets for a long while, and I noticed how having it with me helped me feel less doubtful. It actually broke into smaller pieces due to the amount of energy it was absorbing!
Smoky quartz gives a very protective feeling, so you feel safer with it. The BOOK OF STONES says:
“It can help even the spaciest individuals get their ‘land legs’ so they can fully function as physical beings…aids the grounding of spiritual information…can help one avoid extravagance.”
Aragonite
Aragonite is fabulous — exotic is a good word to describe this stone. It’s not my everyday meditative stone. I call it exotic because it is powerful and igniting and I don’t just pick this stone up to balance my energies. I pick up aragonite when I’ve had a blow or startling, jarring event, especially one that hits in the sacral or solar plexus region. It is a healer. And it goes deep; it mends deep wounds and works really well with tiger eye. I like to make a grid right on my torso, placing the aragonite in the center and small pieces of tiger eye around in a circle and then proceed into meditation for a mending experience.
Selenite Wands
I love selenite wands. I use them for two main purposes: communication with higher planes and bringing the aritu (Kemetic for chakras in Kemetic ra sekhi Reiki) into alignment. I usually place a wand along my chest to balance my energies during a healing meditation and I have it in my left palm during a meditation when I want to “hear.” I have extra-long and short, pocket-sized selenite wands available in my e-store. Smaller wands are less expensive but not in the store yet, so if you would like one, please email me at jen@yourwellnessiswealth.com
Angelite
Angelite is becoming more and more dear to me. I use angelite for tapping into the angelic realm and to also assist my insight and perspective in being “higher” — meaning, angelite helps me get over my “wounded-child,” immature behavior or way of looking things, helps me with steering clear of a victim mentality and allows me to see and feel love in any situation, no matter how hurtful. During this meditation, I placed the angelite on my first eye (brow chakra).
Elestial Quartz
Out of these stones, elestial quartz, sometimes called celestial or pineapple quartz, is the newest to the pantheon. It feels very, well, celestial. When I’m reaching for what’s next or asking questions like, “Where do I go?” or “What do I do now?” and when I want to know what’s out there for me…I meditate with elestial quartz. Be ready for some new ideas as well as some answers to some questions when you bring this one in. For example, if you have a speaking engagement, a class to teach or a message to share to a group, and you’re not sure on the best way to go about sharing the message, this stone will help. Elestial quartz puts you in touch with some higher information; it helps connect you with what’s higher. It resonates with the higher crown chakra, so I placed it above my head.
Well, we started at the bottom, but now we are here! 😉
