What does wellness look like in 2025? So much has changed since I started this blog 10 years ago. Wellness, self-care really took the world by storm–or calm I must say. And we all started to take a closer look at how we are taking care of ourselves, how well we are not just physically , but in mind and spirit too. For myself, wellness has ushered in a morphing of how my life looks in many regards. Some of that took me offline, away from you, and away from social media for years at a time. Whatever the case, I didn’t let go completely–of my blog or any of my platforms. Though some temporarily, I still went back and got it–yenyangyoga.com.
In 2025, wellness looks like curating your feed. Managing paid content channels—something I never imagined back when this was just a hobby blog. It’s looking like taking days off of work, scratching things off your bucket list, ending friendships and relationships, learning to use various focus modes, DND to be exact and noise canceling headphones? And it has felt good though like walking new paths only filled with uncertainty and sometimes isolation.
All of that has yielded so many more self aware individuals, which is making for a better world ultimately for us to live in. We got folks losing weight, taking care of their health, beating cancer folks freely owning their toxicity (lol), going to church for the first time. Folks deciding to live life more authentically or paying old debts.
Wellness is moving across the land. Turns out, in 2025, wellness isn’t just smoothies and yoga—it’s boundaries, silence, and redefinition.
Wellness these days also means knowing when to unplug. That’s part of why I stepped back—not just from blogging, but from social media altogether.
Now that I’m easing back in, I’m struck by how much the content landscape has changed. When I started this blog, there was no TikTok. People sat with a post, read slowly, maybe even left a comment. Now? It’s reels, shorts, swipe culture. Even newsletters have morphed into platforms like Substack.
So I’m genuinely curious—how do you like to take in content these days? Do you still Google topics and read blogs like this one, or find things from a scroll on TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook?
I’m considering how to evolve this blog with the new wave of written content—and hoping someone old-school is still out there reading. Maybe you’ll comment here… or at least drop a note on Facebook, if that’s where this finds you.
As I close, I want to officially introduce a word — one you may have heard me use if you follow me on YouTube.
This word is WHOLENESS.
It’s more than just a replacement for “peace.” It’s an upgrade — the fulfillment of wellness, the integration of healing, the return to your undivided self.
Here’s a bit of esotericism for you: The English language is a kind of spellcraft. We must begin to recognize its words phonetically, symbolically, and spiritually.
Because how a word sounds matters — not just to the mind, but to the spirit. The tongue is an instrument of power.
And when a word carries double meanings, that’s not random. That’s coded energy — sometimes sacred, sometimes subversive.
Take “peace,” for example. It sounds like “piece” — a fragment, a part. So when we say “peace,” are we unintentionally invoking separation instead of wholeness?
Language builds. But it can also divide. And when the frequency is fractured, even your most well-intentioned words can become null and void.
May your wellness reach its fulfillment, and your healing return you to wholeness.
