Many of us are living and participating in and a part of aspects of this world, while being totally oblivious to it. For the majority, we are consumers only…yet we live in a capitalistic society, at least here as an American.
For this particular system to remain in existence & operate as it does, it needs sellers AND BUYERS, producers AND CONSUMERS, business owners AND EMPLOYEES…basically givers and receivers…always exchanging.
Not only do we live in a capitalistic society, we live inside a governmental structure with laws and regulations. We are governed by others in particular positions like judges, lawyers, law enforcement, law makers, lobbyists, Congress, etc. and all that hold these positions have been elected and chosen by the majority vote of the people.
All this ish plus several other systems work together… to create the world as we know it and live in it each day.
The question I would like to pose today is ..
Where are you in all of this ?
…Are you a buyer or a seller, are you a producer or a consumer, Are you the employee or the business owner? Do you find yourself consistently being a giver, a buyer and a consumer? Is that the position you would like to remain solely?
Which would you like to be? If you could choose different, would you? What about for your children?
Are you aware of who makes the laws you are subjected to? The money and tax regulations you abide by?
what laws are made?
How laws are made?
Who’s in the decision making positions in your local area?
and No shade… I have found myself awaking to the realization of just how deep in the rabbit hole most of us are in, and I thought I’d share those questions that came tumbling in as I considered these ideas.
Moral of this story…how about we try our hat at being creators and not just subjects. I mean for those called to more, for those unsatisfied with the rat race and living in a world created for you rather than in you created by you.
I have a theory…that I’ll tell you more about later, but for today I will use Maslow’s theory on Human’s Hierarchy of Needs. I think his use of a triangle was genius. At the top of the period, after climbing that “mountain” of human needs is our self-actualization, which to me is synonymous to a god-state. Essentially, you become self-made, realizing your desires, because you have the means of creating them. In order to get there though, we must conquer our most basic needs as human beings, starting with food and shelter, which is survival.
I feel several folks, especially people of color, are climbing this “mountain” to achieve those basic, emotional and psychological needs. We, or at least some of our ancestors, were indeed victims of certain atrocities performed by other groups of people. So, at this time in the world, we are a little further down the “mountain” on our way up towards our self-actualizing.
I don’t know about you, but I am determined. Kudos to all the men and women out there who are dedicated to making their own way, treading new paths, following the vision they were given and walking their G-d given purposes. Don’t you dare stop.

This is an eye-opener. You tend to get caught up in the survival race that you don’t see that the race is a never ending one.
Everyone should take a step back, reflect on where we all are in the grand scheme of things and then decide if we are actually running on the right lane or not.
You have to be a creator/producer to get more value.
